Learning for Professionals at Any Career Stage

Inspired by feedback from members, AHEAD is again providing an educational experience where you can design your own curriculum, this time in an online forum, to serve those who aren’t able to travel this year due to budget cuts. Choose from a wide variety of sessions, taught by top experts in the field and offering depth of coverage, all taught interactively. This is unlike any other conference or institute AHEAD has offered before, and you won’t want to miss the opportunity to build your own educational adventure!

Why attend the Ingenuity Forum?

AHEAD’s Ingenuity Forum sessions offer an opportunity to build your own training, and the interactive nature of the sessions provides opportunities to collaborate with other attendees, so you get to know other professionals and build your network. Attend just one session or many! For attendees who would like to get specialized training on a variety of topics, we will offer the ability to pick and choose from among many sessions. Or choose a track and stick with one topic. Whether your budget is large or small, and whether you seek many hours of training, or just a few, you can create an educational experience tailored to your own needs.

The Ingenuity Forum is designed to be interactive, to allow participants to ask questions, participate in discussions, and get to know other participants. Please plan to set aside the scheduled time to participate live. Recordings will only remain available through April 30 for those who attended who want to review the session, and will not be available for purchase later.

Tracks, or Not! Your Choice!

For those interested in building a training around particular topics, we are excited to offer several topical “tracks,” though you may select any session and are not at all obligated to stick with any one topic.

We have ensured some sessions are geared to newer professionals, while others offer material more suited to professionals who have been in the field longer. Review the session descriptions on this page, paying attention to the Career Stage and Track labels, to find the sessions best suited for you!
Go to the registration page
Choose as many sessions as you wish to attend—from one to all 17.
If you are an AHEAD member, find your discount code to enter on the checkout page.
Checkout using a credit card or opt to pay later via invoice.

Registration for the Ingenuity Forum should be treated like registration to an in-person event- each registration supports access for one person to the virtual event. A single registration cannot be shared with any other individuals to access the Ingenuity Forum.

Technology

All conference sessions will be hosted in Zoom. All conference participants should download the most recent version of Zoom prior to the conference start date.

AHEAD is pleased to offer an enhanced virtual conference experience via the conferencing software, CVent Attendee Hub. Zoom links will be available there to join, and will only be accessible to the individual registered for the session. Information about logging in will be sent to all registrants prior to each session you are registered for.

Accessibility

If you will need any accommodations, including a live CART captioner or ASL interpreting, to access your session(s), you must request that when you register. (You may turn on auto-captioning for yourself at any time.) Requests should be made two weeks before the start of the sessions. Although we’ll do our very best, late requests may not be able to be filled in a timely manner, so please register as early as possible!

All presentation materials will be posted to CVent Attendee Hub (where you will access the Zoom links to join the sessions you have paid for) prior to each session.

Recordings

Ingenuity Forum sessions are interactive, so we highly recommend that all registrants do everything they can to attend live. If having to view yours later is unavoidable, the recordings you have purchased will remain posted until April 30. Purchased recordings will not be available after April 30, so make sure you have watched yours before then!

Links to recordings cannot be shared, even within an office. To receive access to the recordings, an individual must be registered for the Ingenuity Forum.

CEUs and Certificates of Attendance

AHEAD has not pre-arranged for CEUs with any certifying bodies for this event, but we are happy to provide proof of attendance. If you plan to use a session for CEU credit, contact your certifying agency to learn what information is necessary for you to request independent CEUs. Contact AHEAD at profdev@ahead.org if you need any programming or presenter information that is not available on AHEAD’s website. To request a certificate of attendance, please contact profdev@ahead.org.
